I'm currently seeking representation for my debut novel, a post-apocalyptic YA adventure. The Heir of Dunsinane weaves three Shakespeare plays into a story of two sisters fighting to regain their kingdom.
As harsh as Dunsinane is, it’s the only home that Vyla and Malcolm have ever known. But when their father is murdered and his crown seized, their kingdom turns against them. As the sisters flee for their lives, a storm splits their ship. And Vyla and Malcolm lose the one thing they’ve always counted on: each other.
Malcolm is stranded on an island laced with ancient secrets. Secrets that could save her kingdom—and perhaps even the world—if only she weren’t too blinded by grief to see them. Vyla washes up on hostile shores where the exposure of her identity could be fatal and any liaison is dangerous. Yet she’s undeniably drawn to the lady Livian, a reclusive senator with a shrouded past.
Each sister used to be the other’s lodestar. Now, as a usurper sinks his teeth into their kingdom, they must each find the strength to fight on alone.
